Hello,
My name is Teri, I am 25 years old, and I have 2 beautiful children, age's 5-7. I work fulltime, and have almost completed my AS in Communications, my plans are on hold for a bit, because I have to many obligations that make it impossible right now to fulfil that dream. I have a rare brain disease, Pseudo Tumor Cerebria. (A false tumor to the brain) There are less than 16,000 in the US with this disease, and of COURSE I am one of them.. :-).
Basically in very simple terms, in my brain is a spot, but no tumor, but my body starts fighting this "tumor" and ends up hurting me instead of helping me, I end up producing extra blood cells, and spinal fluid. This is okay. I know life isnt easy and we all have suffering. But, I saw this on NBC, and what else do I have to lose?!
My medical costs over $800 monthly alone, that's IF I dont start producing more than usual, and then become hospitalised. Then you have the regular, car payment, rent (trailer), and other bills. I work 40 plus hours for a very good job, but of course, it still doesnt pay enough to not worry about what is about to be turned off next, or what medicine I can skip this month, because I cant afford it.
I dont know if I'm writing this out into the void of the world... what crosses my mind, is why would anyone send money to someone they dont know... or is this a place for crazy people to prey on someone.
IF in the event.. there are still people out there, who are secure.. and want to help others. I assure you I am not a drug addict, psycho, trashy, or a bad person. I'm a normal person who works hard, tries to be the best mom they can be, and just wants to succeed in life, even if that means dodging life's obstacles that's thrown at us constantly. I would like to be able to not worry about the electric bill, my medicine, how I am going to pay to see my neurologist this week, maybe pay my credit off (horrible horrible score from medical bills) so I can buy a house, with a huge yard, and sip choclate milk as the girls run around playing and screaming..... :-)
So this is it. This is my story. This is my cause. This is my hope. Help is appreciated... not expected. I will prepare for the worst, and hope for the best. I assure you everything I have said isnt a lie, and will be used for those purposes. Have a great day...
